Teen Sensation Live® is a singing/hip hop competition specifically for teens ages 13-19 years old. The idea of Teen Sensation Live® is derived from the concept of finding opportunities to help our youth of Florida through music. Studies have shown that kids who are involved in the arts are more likely to succeed academically, as opposed to kids who aren't. Our objective is to create a medium where teenagers from Florida can have an opportunity to showcase their talent on an 'International Platform'. For the past 7 years we have presented Teen Sensation Live® in Fort Lauderdale with some modicum of success.
To this end, we have partnered with organizations and notable events across South Florida to provide a wide range of exposure to showcase. One winner, 'Shalyah Fearing, went on to compete on The Voice'. where she was the runner-up in Season 10, and is now performing and touring professionally. Another graduated from an HBCU with a degree in Music and is now pursuing that profession. And another went on to work with a world-renowned rock band as a songwriter. Others have also followed their dreams and have been recording and performing across the country.
Each year the competition invites a prestigious list of judges from the music and entertainment industry who determine the act that moves on or is eliminated until one (1) Grand Prize Winner is voted on and chosen at the Finals!
Teen Sensation Live® singing/hip hop talent competition is a live contest series that will take place over 4 months. The information about the South Florida Teen Sensation Live® competition audition and live shows are advertised locally on radio stations, at middle and high schools, community centers, YMCAs, church youth groups and via social media.
The first step would be video submissions for consideration in the qualifying event, and the online registration which must be completed and returned via email. From the live qualifying event 12 teens will be selected to move on to the elimination event, 6 will move on to the finals in the summer. The 12 teens who advanced to the competition will receive 2 months of mentorship and coaching, in preparation for the elimination event. These sessions will be conducted by music professionals with years of experience in the industry. The final 6 will go on to compete for the Teen Sensation Live title, where the live and online audience will vote for their favorite contestant, and the Judges will make the final decision and declare the Winner. The winner will receive a Grand Prize that includes: $10,000, the Teen Sensation Live Championship Trophy and the opportunity to be featured on stage at some of South Florida's Premier events.
